Many people say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In Wadesboro, NC, we enjoy a good breakfast. With so many different breakfast choices available, from steak and eggs to grits and French toast, there are enough options for everyone. These are a few of our favorite breakfast places to eat.

3 Breakfast Places Worth the Morning Drive Near Wadesboro, NC

Ladybug Family Restaurant

As their name says, Ladybug is a great place to take the family for breakfast. They’re easy to find at 1208 E Caswell Street, Wadesboro, and have ample free parking outside. This restaurant is a no-frills type place, but very clean and friendly. Service is fast, and their portions are more than ample. Their menu has a wide range of choices, including biscuits, omelets, and corned beef hash.

We like their Western omelet, with bacon, sausage, ham, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and cheese, with a side of grits and biscuits or toast. There are a variety of other sides to choose from if you’re feeling extra hungry. For a good breakfast at a great price, you can’t go wrong with Ladybug.

Pa’s Country Kitchen

Pa’s is the place to go for breakfasts, burgers, and good old-time home cooking. They’re less than six miles east of us at 3944 Vintage Road US-74 and State Road 1801, Lilesville. They have an extensive menu and specialize in Southern-style comfort food. The basic sides with all breakfasts feature grits and your choice of hoecake, biscuit, or toast.

The country ham biscuit is our favorite, with fresh-baked biscuits and the tastiest ham in the county. If you prefer a lighter and sweeter breakfast, we recommend their pancakes. They offer a choice of blueberry, pecan, chocolate chip, or walnut toppings, and the chocolate chip is amazing.

The Old Store

This restaurant is a hidden gem just back off Highway 74. It’s comfortable and homely and filled with nostalgia. The old-time collection of signs on the wall, miniature car displays, and red and black floor tiles hark back to a simpler and quieter time.

Their menu includes biscuits and gravy, omelets, and more. We can’t pick a particular favorite breakfast item, as we like all of them. You should try their homemade sweet tea, which is amazing. Old Store can be found at 3944 Vintage Road, Lilesville.
